It's Sooooo CCCCold!

What was I thinking?! Making a snowman in this weather? I don't think so! With all the sniffles and coughs we already have at Wiggles and Giggles, we scratched that idea.
We opted for an adventure at Carl's Jr. play land instead! And I am so glad we did!

Here are a few pic's of our latest outing......
Naturally, the toy is more exciting than the food.

With all this food around, Slade asks if we were having snack time.

Peek a boo!
Hey! This is Great!

Stillness

"D" is for Duck!
So today we went to the "Duck Park" to feed the Ducks.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day!
Everything was so still. The tree's were still. The air was still. Even the creek was still.

It was breath taking.
Rejuvenating.
Inspiring.
We seemed to be the only ones in the park, and every thing was quiet.
Even the Ducks!
I wanted time to stand still.
I took a deep breath of that fresh air and felt completely whole!
It was just a perfect day!
The children thrived in the calming energy of the blissful beauty.
They climbed trees.
Ran as fast as their little legs would let them.
And
explored their surrounding with delight.
They seemed to sense that this tranquility wasn't going to last forever.

I am so grateful for perfect mornings.
For beautiful surroundings, and for
children who live in the grace of every moment.

Q. Hailey what's the letter "d" sound?
A. Quack! Quack! Quack!

The kids throwing bread to the ducks.

Hailey singing and swinging!

Weeeeee!

Q. Slade what was your favorite part of the day?
A. Throwing leaves up to the sky.
Leaf Burial
You can do it Hailey!

I am sorry. I just couldn't help myself!

LETTER D SONG

Thats right this weeks letter in Pre School is the letter "D"!
So we Danced! This was a perfect video to dance too. Then we found things
around the house that start with the letter "D" like... Dimes, Dinosour, Doors
and Dots!
We really had some fun making a Human "D".......
                                                          Upper Case "D"
                                                         Lower Case "d"
Then we made a Dinosour Craft....
and then ate Doughnuts for snack.
Slade got clever and made a "D" out of his Doughnut!

Funny Note:
While gluing on the dinosaur parts, I spilled the glue on my shirt. Naturally I said "Dang it!" Slade said "Why did you say @*#^$! it!? " I smiled and told Slade that I said "Dang it! not  @*#^$! it! He thought about it for a second and then said loud and proud...Hey  Shellie! "D" is for @*#^$! it!
I had myself a good laugh!

Excavaters are Awesome!

Carson and Gracie put a rock band together, their #1 single is titled" Excavator's are Awesome!" Its a really easy song to learn, all ya gotta do is sing Excavator's are Awesome, Bulldozers are my Favorite, over and over to any random melody that's floating around in your head.

Carson, connected to his inner Bon Jovi!

Gracie connected to her inner Rock Star!

On Thursday for preschool we went and got a Gold Fish to go with out letter F theme.
Slade and Hailey loved our visit to the pet store, but apparently I didn't make myself very clear about the gold fish thing, because as we were ready to check out, Slade kept saying "But Shellie, where's our gold fish?" I had a bag of 20 gold fish in my hand, so I was confused. I held up the bag to show him our new purchase, but he wasn't satisfied. I reminded him about the letter F for fish, and that was why we were at the pet store. That didn't help either. Then with obvious disappointment he said, "But I wanted Fishy crackers!"

Slade under the sea....ish

I think he'll learn to live with the real thing.

Here are some more pics of our visit to the Pet Store.....

Hopefully, the gold fish will live longer than a day! Pray for a miricle.

Letter F Song

Letter F is this weeks letter. I used to be the song leader for my church, and during
a training, I learned that any topic that is taught to music had a 90% retention rate, compared
to a 40% retention with other methods. Well I have proven that method in my own family
over and over. Music is how I taught our address, phone number and other important
information to my children. And now every time I get the opportunity to find a little jingle
to reinforce what I am teaching in preschool I use it.
So each week I will be posting the current letter jingle or video. Its there for you as parents to
use as you would like, and also gives you an idea of what I do in Preschool time.
This paticular jingle is so catchy, you will find it hard to resist the impulse to dance to it!
Thats what the kids do, its a blast to watch!

Random Moments @ Wiggles and Giggles

Over the last couple of years I have taken lots of pictures capturing all the fun moments we have shared.
Unfortunately the memory card for most of those moments is lost.
So here is to new beginnings!
These are just a few pictures of random moments that I have captured since getting a new memory card.

Gracie holding a special drop in guest. Introducing little Nickolas. He is the baby brother, of a former Wiggles friend. Sagen N. Gracie held him almost the entire day!

It never sceases to amaze me at all the contorted ways the kids fall asleep! Here is Hailey, out like a light!
                                  Slade posing for G.Q. Magazine
                         Hailey, really enjoying her pudding!
                                                              Nap Time!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow

There is something magical about the first snow of the season.
Eyes light up,
Smiles from ear to ear,
Joyful noise's of delight.

We enjoyed spending a few moments out in the fluffy stuff.
It's so much fun catching snow flakes on our tongues!

Trick or Treat Smell My Feet!

Wiggles and Giggles Halloween Party was a Spoootacular Event!
We had it all. Eye ball snacks, Monster Girl, and candy.
Spidy Senses, "Finger"food, the Hulk, and more candy.
Bubbling Brew, Bob the Builder, Bloody Masks and you guessed it .....
More candy!
The kids shrilled with delight as they made Monster hands, went diving for doughnuts, played pin the face on the pumpkin, and drank homemade Root beer.

There was never a dull moment.

Slade would only let me call him Spider Man...
Carson wanted to borrow my power tools.....
Hailey sang "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, get something good to eat"!
Danial and James wrestled!
Yup! there were lots of wiggles and giggles today!
What do you mean no hands!

                                           A not so impressed Spiderman!
